About this piece
The Hurva Synagogue, located in the heart of the Jewish Quarter in the old city of Jerusalem, was originally built in the early 18th century.
The synagogue was demolished and destroyed in 1948 - War of Independence by the Jordanian Legion.
Following the reunification of Jerusalem after the "Six-Day War" in 1967, the synagogue was rebuilt in 2001.
